2. Competition period

The competition opens at 00:01 on 20 July 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 31 August 2026, South African Standard Time. Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.

3. Who may enter

The competition is open to persons who: are 18 years or older; ordinarily reside in South Africa; are qualified physiotherapists; and are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa where registration is required. Directors, employees, contractors and immediate family members of PhysioCPD, as well as anyone directly involved in administering the competition, may not enter.

4. How to enter

To enter, participants must: visit www.physiocpd.co.za; complete and submit the official competition entry form; provide the required information; confirm that they are a physiotherapist; and accept these Terms and Conditions. Entry is free. Participants are responsible only for their ordinary internet or mobile-data costs. Only one entry per person is permitted. Duplicate, incomplete, fraudulent or automated entries may be disqualified. No purchase or paid subscription is required.

5. Prize

One eligible winner will receive: one individual 12-month PhysioCPD membership at no cost. The estimated retail value of the prize is approximately R4,000. The membership will begin when the PhysioCPD platform officially launches, or on another activation date agreed in writing with the winner.

The prize is personal to the winner; is not transferable; may not be sold or exchanged for cash; and includes the content and features ordinarily included in the applicable individual membership plan. The prize does not guarantee a particular number of CEUs, successful course completion, HPCSA compliance or continued professional registration. CEUs remain subject to the accreditation and completion requirements applicable to each learning activity.

6. Winner selection

The winner will be selected through a random draw from all valid and eligible entries within five business days after the competition closes. The competition and draw will be overseen and certified by an independent accountant, registered auditor, attorney or advocate, as required by the Consumer Protection Regulations. PhysioCPD will retain the required competition and draw records.

7. Winner notification

The selected entrant will initially be regarded as the provisional winner and will be contacted using the email address or mobile number supplied on the entry form. The provisional winner must respond within five business days and may be required to provide proof of identity and age; physiotherapy qualification; HPCSA registration; and compliance with these Terms and Conditions. If the provisional winner cannot be contacted, does not respond in time, does not meet the eligibility requirements or declines the prize, another winner may be selected by random draw.

8. Winner announcement

PhysioCPD may announce the winner using limited identifying information, such as first name, surname initial and province. The winner’s full name, photograph, workplace or testimonial will only be published with their separate consent. The winner will not be required to participate in advertising or provide promotional content as a condition of receiving the prize.

9. Marketing consent

Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions is required to enter. Consent to receive PhysioCPD marketing communication must be collected separately and remains optional. Declining marketing consent will not affect a participant’s chance of winning. Participants who provide marketing consent may unsubscribe at any time. POPIA regulates unsolicited electronic direct marketing and requires an appropriate lawful basis, including consent where applicable.

10. Personal information

PhysioCPD will process entrants’ personal information only where reasonably necessary to administer the competition; validate entries; prevent duplicate or fraudulent entries; contact and verify the winner; conduct and document the draw; award the prize; comply with legal obligations; and send marketing communication where separate consent was provided. Personal information may be shared with service providers assisting with hosting, communication, legal compliance or verification, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection requirements. PhysioCPD will not sell entrants’ personal information. Participants may request access to or correction of their information by contacting: [email protected]

11. Disqualification

PhysioCPD may disqualify an entrant who supplies false or misleading information; submits duplicate or automated entries; uses another person’s details without permission; attempts to manipulate the competition or draw; interferes with the competition website or systems; or breaches these Terms and Conditions. Declining optional marketing consent is not grounds for disqualification.

12. Technical problems

PhysioCPD is not responsible for entries that are delayed or not received because of a participant’s device, internet connection, mobile network or incorrect contact information. Where a material technical problem affects the fairness of the competition, PhysioCPD may take reasonable corrective action, including extending the entry period or repeating the draw.

13. Changes or cancellation

PhysioCPD may amend, suspend or cancel the competition only where reasonably necessary because of fraud, illegality, regulatory instruction, material technical failure or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Any material change will be communicated through the PhysioCPD website. The competition will not be cancelled or changed merely to avoid awarding the prize.

14. Complaints

Competition-related complaints may be submitted to: [email protected]. The complaint should include the entrant’s name, contact details and a clear description of the issue. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions prevents an entrant from approaching the National Consumer Commission, Information Regulator or another competent authority.

15. Social-media disclaimer

This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Meta or any other social-media platform on which it may be promoted. Entrants provide their information to PhysioCPD and not to those platforms.
